Julie Hedrick for BOE District #2
Donation protected
I am Julie Hedrick and this is one of my favorite photgraphs with my mom. It was taken at the School Service Center 50th Anniversary Celebration when I was Division Director of Facilities. I am proud of my work for the District. In my 27.5 year career I was able to oversee two bond issues, the capital outlay budget and the facilities division budget so that I managed a billion dollars of improvements over my career. Our schools are safe and comfortable places for children and staff and the environments are conducive to learning and academic achievement.
I am now running for BOE (District 2) in USD #259. I want to give back to my community and our public schools. I have experience and knowledge about the operation our large, urban school district. This makes me uniquely qualified to run for BOE.
I am also a lifelong Wichitan. I graduated from McCollum Elementary, Hadley Junior High and West High Schools. My daughters graduated from Sunnyside Elementary, Isely Elementary, Robinson Middle School and East High IB. My grand-daughters attend Price-Harris Magnet.
All funds I raise will be used to support my campaign: signs, brochures, bumper stickers, mailings, ect. I need your help to win this election. The general election is on November 7. Although I am running to represent a specific district, the election will be city-wide. City-wide campaigns are expensive. Would you consider a recurring donation through October?
I believe we have a great school district and I want to have a voice as we chart a path to rebuild our programming, engage and encourage our staff, and collaboratively develp policy in these next years. I intend to give this my full attention and to work hard for the good of our city.
