**UPDATE** - Rose has an obstructed bowel and will need surgery. They informed us that she would need $750 cash or western union, which we couldn’t do because we are in the middle of the ocean. They went higher up and went ahead to do the scan because they said it was an emergency. They informed us that they’re at over $3,000 in medical bills (not including the C.T. Scan) already and they haven’t even performed her surgery!! Their insurance won’t pay because they’re out of the United States... this isn’t what we hoped for. We thought they would be able to get her home for the surgery in the US, so her insurance would kick in, but she has gotten worse then we knew she would, and they still aren’t allowed to leave Nassau due to no passport!
Rose has been released from the hospital as of Monday, but still needs surgery when she gets back in the states, but they have cleared her enough to come home. They plan to fly back on Wednesday if they can get their passports processed quick enough for a flight.
*update* - the embassy told us they’re only closed for Christmas Day and the New Years. We were wrongly informed by the cruise staff. We are in contact with US embassy but rose is still admitted to the hospital. Not sure of anything else yet. We have set the limit of the goal high, to cover the medical bills that we aren’t sure of the total amount until everything is final and cleared. We aren’t sure of an actual cost but we know it’s in the thousands. Without everyone’s help, we would have not came this far... God has truly blessed
Rose and Michelle had been given a gift from some friends to go on a cruise to the Bahamas this weekend! Everything had been great, up until Rose became deathly sick, and was transfered to the infirmary on the ship; where they gave her fluids and 3 different medications, which didnt help over the course of 2 hours. She had to be transferred to the local hospital to where she was turned away due to lack of funds. ($2k to be seen, US Insurance isnt accepted). They transferred her now to another public hospital, to where she has been admitted. Due to the doctor not allowing her to he cleared, they have been banned from the ship for the health of other cruisers.. This means they will have to get a room in Nassau (when she is released from hospital) *cheapest room is $130 a night* and go to the Embassy on monday morning to apply for a passport, (because on cruises you only have to have a birth certificate) which is $150 each, plus get international plane tickets back to FL, then to Cinncinatti. This can cost anywhere from $600-1500 (or more due to being last min foreign tickets).. They’re not allowed to leave this country unless they follow Border Controls strict policies. This is bery scary. They really need our help, and will be stranded if they dont get the money by this Monday Dec. 17th, 2018, because the Embassy closes from that Tuesday until Jan. 1st for Christmas break!!!!
This is VERY serious and they need any amount to help them and will be very grateful. If you cannot help, just pray.
All money is being transferred to Rose & Michelle through money gram and PayPal until they get home, then it will be given straight to them.
The funds are going toward all the major expensive hospital bills, emergency passports, plane tickets, food, motels etc. it is expensive to be in the Bahamas with no means too live on...

Our withdrawal plans are to withdraw the money into our banking account, which will then be given straight to Rose and Michelle. They’re back home and we plan to meet them for me to give them a check for the entire amount donated.
The funds will be spent entirely on medical bills from the two hospitals in Nassau, plane tickets, their food and gas bills, passports that they had to get to fly back. I (Dillon) am solely responsible for withdrawing these funds to my banking account which will then be given directly too Rose and Michelle by hand by check once received from GoFundMe to my account. I have consent from both parties to be over this account.
