Ed and Edna White House Fire

House Fire in St. Albans, WV
On the cusp of their 60th Anniversary together, Ed (80) and Edna White (85) lost their home of 42 years in a terrible fire yesterday. Edna was able to escape the fire in her wheelchair with three of her dogs, but lost a fourth - Willie, to the fire. Grandson Andrew who lived with Ed and Edna lost everything as well. It's such a tragedy that a couple in their 80s have lost their home and a lifetime of possessions and memories at this stage in their lives. They have nothing left but the clothes on their backs. Ed is an Army veteran and both have served as foster parents taking in at-risk children without a place to call home of their own. Thank you to all of you who choose to donate and assist in their efforts to replace some of what was lost and to help them find and furnish a new home.
