Please Help Me Help a Dear Friend

I am starting this go fund me page for a dear friend. They are uncomfortable asking for help so I want to do it for them.
Dom my friend and father of 2 young boys, was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2010. He started out his treatment at Stony Brook Cancer Center and went through a year of various chemo’s and was considered in remission for 9 months, Then it came back. He had his first bone marrow transplant in 2011. The cancer was in remission for 6 months after that transplant. He had his second bone marrow transplant in 2012. He has been in remission ever since but he developed chronic GVHD. (Graft vs. host disease) in 2013 Dom has gone through various stages of this terrible disease and it has taken its toll on him, his family, and the financial difficulty is finally setting in. I do not know much about the actual disease, but the graft vs host disease has attacked his skin. It’s a form of scleroderma. I cannot imagine the pain he is in. He can no longer straighten his legs which makes him bound to a wheel chair. He also has had two corneal transplants and now a secondary lymphoma in his lung.
They found a place in Houston Texas, MD Anderson cancer center. He is there now. He had to fly down which is very painful and the hospital was supposed to put him up in a hotel for 12 days, it is all part of their program. Well after 5 days the hospital ran out of funding so he’s on his own now, just another added expense that he does not have. He wanted to leave, feeling he can’t do it but Denise who is with him convinced him to stay, this is his last hope. I’ve been speaking to her multiple times a day for updates and when I heard this I knew I needed to do all I can to help..
I have never done anything like this before but really didn’t know where to turn…
Anything would be a help
