Quote from Andrea on June 14th:
About this time 2 years ago, after a couple months of tests and labs and doctors appointments, I was counting down the days until my first major surgery, after which I'd find out I had cancer and would spend the next 8 months recovering from surgery and going through chemo.
History repeats itself, unfortunately. After a few bad lab results and a couple of scans...I'm having surgery next week to remove my spleen because there's a tumor growing, and later this summer I'll start chemo again.
June 25th:
I'm back home recovering from surgery. The surgeon said my procedure went well; we are awaiting some biopsy results though. Chemo will begin after surgery recovery - so in about 5-6 weeks. Thank you all so much for all the thoughts, prayers, and messages!
Andrea and her husband Aaron have been working hard and doing the best they can going through this hard time and that once again every thing will come back with no cancer after this round of chemo. Unfortunately, the medical bills are still coming in from the first round of chemo. If you can help in any way I know that this will be a blessing to them.
