Hi my name is Amanda, I am Yvonne’s oldest niece and I am still in shock as I write this but we need our community now. Our family has suffered two devastating losses just mere weeks apart. Not even three weeks ago we had to lay our Uncle and Brother Peter Mercredi to rest after his sudden passing and now we have tragically lost our Matriach Yvonne Mercredi who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while visiting family in Yellowknife,NT. These two losses have turned our world upside down and devastated us as a family, leaving us depleted in every sense. It is because of this that I am asking for everyone’s help in surrounding my cousins Leah and Prestin and our entire family in support as we are grappling with the loss of such an important and loved woman. Prestin and Leah are in the process of making arrangements for their mother’s wake and funeral and the last thing they need to worry about right now are the costs associated with that. Any donations received will go towards wake and funeral costs and if there are any additional funds left over, they will go towards helping Yvonne’s loved ones travel and secure accommodations as we lay her to rest.
