Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
I am reaching out for help for my youngest daughter, Danielle. She is just 12 years old and has been fighting a heartbreaking battle with Long COVID. Once an athletic, vibrant girl who loved volleyball, basketball, and horseback riding, Danielle is now a shadow of her former self.
Danielle suffers from Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome (AMPS), which causes excruciating pain in her limbs and back, along with adrenal fatigue, severe insomnia, constant nausea, and POTS, which causes her to faint frequently. She also battles brain fog and mental health struggles from being in a constant fight-or-flight state. Her condition has forced her to leave in-person school and live a life of isolation, far from the joyful activities she once loved.
Watching her fade away has been absolutely devastating—but we have hope! Danielle's older sister, Abigail, faced an even more severe case of Long COVID. And after many failed attempts at other clinics and treatments we discovered the Spero Clinic in Arkansas in Fall of 2024, a place that specializes in treating complex conditions like these. After three months of intensive treatment, Abigail went into remission and is now living the full life of a normal 16-year-old girl.
Here is a video from Abigail's amazing graduation, speaking from her heart: Abigail's graduation
We want to give Danielle this same chance at healing and a future free from pain. However, the treatments at the Spero Clinic are not covered by insurance and cost upwards of $5,000 a week. It’s an enormous financial burden, but we know it is worth every penny because it works!
We are humbly asking for your help to make this possible for Danielle. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward her treatment and care at the Spero Clinic.
Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to our family. Together, we can give Danielle the chance to reclaim her health, her joy, and her childhood.
With endless gratitude,
Lauren
