Mann Eye Institute Employee Fund
Donation protected
Hurricane Harvey devastated the city of Houston during a four day period. Many areas received more than 40 inches of rain, causing catastrophic flooding. FEMA director Brock Long called Harvey the worst disaster in Texas history, and expects the recovery to take many years.
There are 14 employees at Mann Eye Institute of Houston that have lost their homes, cars, and belongings in the flood waters of Hurricane Harvey. This fund is being put into place to help the employees get back on their feet, so the employees can regain some normalcy to their lives.
Before moving to Maryland, Dr Gus Stern lived in Houston and worked at Mann Eye Institute. He wants to help. He will personally match donations on this site up to an additional $10,000. Any money raised will go directly to the employees.
Thank you for visiting our site. No donation is too small. We hope that we will help make a difference for these employees whose lives have been affected by this disaster. When the campaign is over, the accountant from the Mann Eye Institute, David Harris, will withdraw the money and send it to the 14 employees.
