Yolanda and Juan Figueroa

Our friends Juan and Yolanda Figueroa were one of thousands to lose their home in the devastating fire that hit Sonoma County on October 9th, 2017. Juan and Yolanda woke up that night to a commotion outside their window. They discovered their neighbor hosing down the roof of his mobile home. Juan went outside to find out what was happening, looked the other direction and saw the building right across the street engulfed in flames. Baseball size embers were blowing towards them. He ran back inside grabbed his wife, their two young children (Jason and Tracy), their photo IDs and fled. There was no time to save any of their precious items. They have lost everything. All of their pictures, personal belongings and even Juan’s truck have been reduced to ashes.
The Figueroa’s are staying with family right now. They did have insurance but unfortunately, it was set up to cover just the original purchase price of the mobile home, which will come far short of the cost to rebuild. Juan works for a local flooring company and is an incredible craftsman. He has probably installed over a thousand hardwood floors throughout Sonoma and Marin counties in his 15 years with the company. Prior to the fire, Yolanda did childcare out of their home and is a warm and loving woman.
We know that there are many donation requests right now, but any amount would mean so much for this family. The Figueroa's have a long road ahead of them as far as rebuilding their lives and their home. This is a family in Sonoma County that really needs our help. The funds raised by the donations on this page will go directly to them to assist them with the recovery. Thank you so much for visiting.
