Help Our YOF Mission to Namibia

We need your help! The youth of the Youth Outreach Foundation (YOF) are once again getting ready for our annual mission trip. This year our destinations is Namibia! Help us   to reach our goal to in sharing love, supplies for relief, aid, and sustainable means of living for the people we meet in Windhoek and the surrounding regions in Namibia. By helping a child or a family in Namibia, we are essentially helping our brothers and sisters and giving them a chance to experience different facets of their lives that many of us take for granted. These children and families are all capable of doing great things, they just need support, a helping hand and a loving heart; YOF is a group of passionate youth founded in the Church of St. Mary and St. John the Beloved, Pickering, Ontario, Canada and has now grown to include youth from all around Canada, the United States and Egypt. It was implemented by youth for youth. Our goal is to have a positive and lasting impact on those we serve, specifically the youth in struggling areas overseas around the world. Our organization was established in 2012 upon the return of a group of students, who went on a missionary trip of a lifetime to Kenya. We witnessed and assisted the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of children in hospitals, a city prison, 2 orphanages, and families in 5 surrounding villages. Touched by the service in Kenya and feeling the need to meet and help more of our brothers and sisters abroad, we expanded our scope and travelled to South Africa, Ghana, Ethiopia, Zambia and are presently planning to travel to Windhoek, Namibia. Out of the joy of giving back to our fellow brothers and sisters and spreading a message of love and charity, the organization has flourished and has become more and more involved in international relief and missionary work. Our motivation for these missions stems from the relationship we have built with our heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. We have seen the impact that our faith has had on our personal lives, and we want to be able to share this joy and love with others. We enter each and every mission with the main goal of sharing love, joy and peace by only our actions and time. We find a mission to be successful if we can help ease the burden of poverty and familial responsibility and put a smile on the face of a fellow young person for even one day. YOU can help us achieve this and to give back to those who have touched our lives and left us with an inexpressible joy throughout YOF’s journey in Africa.
