Blues Legend Burial, Lazy Lester
Donation protected
It really saddens me when we lose a great artist like Lazy Lester who contributed so much to the Blues and still dies broke —not even enough to bury him. I would like to give him a respectful memorial service and get him a headstone and put it near my dad, Raful Neal. They were really close friends and they also did their first gig together. I’d like to call on my fellow musicians and our Blues community to help me reach this goal of $3000.
Memorial service Info:
Sept 23,2018
Memorial service at the West Baton Rouge Museum at 845 N. Jefferson Ave.
Port Allen, LA 70767
The memorial service for Lester is going to be on Sept 23rd at the Port Allen West Baton Rouge Museum at 5pm. His friends are going to speak about him and we're going to serve food and play music after the ceremony. This is his part of the woods — he also sang about Port Allen in his songs. Please spread the word and thank you.
Thank you all so much. Please share this on all of your social media and spread the word. We’re going to give Lester the proper burial and memorial service he deserves. —Kenny Neal
