«Year» of war in Ukraine

Hello,

My name is Roman Kovalenko. I am creating an installation called "Year" to commemorate the anniversary of the war in Ukraine. I would like to tell you about this project and ask for your help.

"Year" is an installation in the form of a yellow and blue word "Year" with the inscription "365 days, Russia has been killing people in Ukraine", which will be installed near the British Columbia government building in Victoria on February 24. This day marks the anniversary of the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, and my project is a way to honour the memory of those who have died in this war and those who continue to fight - each on their own front.

My mother and I moved to Victoria from Bucha, fleeing the war, and I know that the war brought pain and suffering to every Ukrainian. This project is my attempt to help my country and remind the residents of Victoria of the strong and brave Ukrainian people.

Unfortunately, the material costs have exceeded the budget that I had planned for. I am still in school and do not have my own source of income, so I am reaching out to you for help. I would be very grateful if you could donate any amount to help cover the material costs. The total amount I need is 400 CAD.
