Rebuild Cam Huong
Donation protected
Since my childhood, I have been going to Cam Huong restaurant, a cherished establishment in the Little Saigon neighborhood in Oakland. Unfortunately, they have fallen victim to vandalism once again in the early morning hours of November 16 at 3am, where a truck rammed through the front of the building, leaving significant structural damage to the entrance. This is the 4th business in Little Saigon that has experienced vehicular vandalism since August, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars in property damage. The current state of organized retail theft in Oakland is causing insurance companies to not cover the damages. Acts of vandalism not only harm small businesses, but also erode the fabric of our community and our overall sense of safety.
Seeing the damage this morning was heartbreaking. This beloved restaurant has served our community for years and does NOT deserve such treatment. The extent of crime and damage witnessed is unacceptable. Despite this tragedy, they remain open and resilient. As a concerned customer, and with the community's help, let's join forces to support their rebuilding efforts. 100% of proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to Cam Huong to help alleviate repair costs for the damage to their storefront. Together, we can ensure that they continue to thrive and contribute to the well-being of our neighborhood.
