Donation protected

Ted (TJ) Hewitt has been fighting Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma on/off for 3 years. He worked as a physical therapy assistant at JGH until September 2014, when his cancer returned. As a veteran the closest VA hospital that can provide the treatment he needs is in Pittsburgh, which is around 4 hours away. Ted and his wife Jessie (Golden) have 3 children: Brock 10, Bria 5, and Brissa 3. Ted is an Iraq Veteran and served in the Marine Corp from 1999-2005. When first diagnosed in 2012 he underwent surgery, six rounds of chemotherapy, six intrathecal chemotherapies, and 15 rounds of radiation. He had a reoccurrence in September 2014, which required him to be hospitalized for a month. He ran a high grade fever for 17 days and had intense chills, he also lost 35 pounds. Treatment consisted of two surgeries, three rounds of intense chemo, and 20 intrathecal chemo treatments.
The third reoccurrence came after only 4 months of remission. He is currently undergoing intravenous and intrathecal chemo, as well as the use of an experimental new chemotherapy drug in pill form.
After Ted goes into remission again, he will get two bone marrow transplants in Nashville Tennessee. He will receive one transplant using his own stem cells and one from his sisters stem cells, this is needed because of the severity of his case.
Ted still has a long road ahead of him, and will be out of work for at least another year. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and will be used to support his family in their time of need. Please also keep Ted and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
