Chris Kempf family fund
Donation protected
On Friday, November 20th a local Amish family had a tragedy happen. Chris and his 10 year old son were bringing a wagon of corn stalks out of a field a very short distance from their farm. As they were about 100 yards from their driveway, they were hit from behind by a drunk driver.
Chris and his son were both thrown from the wagon and as a result both of them sustained severe head trauma. They were not breathing at the scene and family members started CPR until first-responders arrived. Both Chris and his son were flown in separate helicopters to Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Once at the hospital tests were done and as Chris had no brain activity, his family was called in and had to make the difficult decision to remove his life support, which was taken off Saturday afternoon. His son is still on life support and is stable, but still in critical condition. They do not know if he will survive due to his brain injury.
Chris's wife Mattie is left with 6 children to raise and support on her own. The oldest being the child in CCU. The children range from 2 to 10 years old. All donations will go to Mattie for medical and other expenses for raising the children. Please help this family in the wake of this horrible series of events they have been given.
(I have started this go fund me page for the family. My name is Nicole Fox. I live within their Amish community and am one of their English friends and driver that drive them around. Some of the community members and I will deliver the money to Mattie within the next few weeks.)
