Wrong Plan. Wrong Site.

Our community is facing a proposal that could have a lasting impact on Bicester and the surrounding villages.

The proposal would provide accommodation for around 1,250 single male asylum seekers at the site. We believe decisions of this scale should be based on evidence, transparency, and proper consultation. Yet many residents feel there are still serious unanswered questions about infrastructure, healthcare, transport, local services, and the planning process itself.

This campaign is not about the people who may be housed at the site. It is about ensuring that the right decision is made through a fair and accountable process.

Our immediate goal is to raise £20,000 to obtain independent legal advice and specialist planning expertise. Without professional support, local residents cannot effectively challenge or scrutinise a proposal of this scale.

If legal action becomes necessary, costs could exceed £200,000, including the potential costs of a judicial review and expert representation. We hope that level of expenditure will not be required, but we must be prepared to defend our community's interests if all other avenues are exhausted.

Every donation helps ensure that local voices are heard, questions are properly examined, and decision-makers are held accountable.

Please donate if you can and share this campaign with others who believe that major decisions should be transparent, evidence-based, and subject to proper scrutiny.

Together, we can ensure our community has a fair chance to be heard.

A note about the Community Legal Fund

This campaign has grown from a local community effort, and we want to keep it focused on what matters — making sure our community has access to the right legal and planning expertise.

The campaign is now supported by Bicester Countryside & Communities Community Interest Company (CIC), which provides the formal legal structure for the campaign. All monies raised through this appeal are held and managed by the CIC on behalf of the WPWS campaign.

All money raised is for the community campaign and its legal fund. Funds may be used for reasonable costs connected with the campaign, including independent legal advice, specialist planning expertise, professional representation where necessary, and campaign materials and communications such as printing and distribution. Any funds raised will be used solely to support the campaign and its stated aims.

We want to be open with everyone who supports us and will keep you updated on how the campaign develops and how the funds are being used. For more information or to contact us visit: https://wrongplanwrongsite.org.uk/
