DONOR SUPPORT
The development of World Volleyball Game began in 2022 during the pandemic. Created as a academic project by David Valente, the goal was to create game and application designed for youth and adults, to unite the volleyball community at live events and off the court. The game/application has been funded by David Valente (Valente Productions) with R&D Grant support from George Brown College, providing student support to produce a viable Beta. In order to complete the project for polish and a full release, funding is required to hire students and graduates to complete the following scope of work:
Game Development & Improvements = 50 days
Debugging/Testing/Distribution = 30 days
Estimated Development Time = 300 – 350 hours (+10% Contingency)
March Development (150 hours)
AI Improvements (25 hours)
The initial phase focuses on artificial intelligence enhancements, implementing varying skill levels for opponents, more advanced teammate coordination, and multiple difficulty modes. This creates a more engaging and challenging gameplay experience.
Visual Effects & Camera (35 hours)
This phase implements comprehensive visual feedback systems, including gameplay action effects, ball visualization, and improved perfect shot/block indicators for different actions. The camera system will be enhanced with multiple viewpoints, including a dedicated spike camera view, alongside basic shader and art style implementations.
Animation Enhancement (30 hours)
Animation improvements center on implementing Inverse Kinematics for ball interactions and refining physics systems. This ensures more realistic gameplay movements and ball handling mechanics.
Tournament System (60 hours)
Tournament functionality includes developing the multiplayer tournament structure, implementing a scheduling system for virtual events, and creating core event management capabilities. This provides a competitive framework for organized play.
April Development (105 hours)
Cinematics Integration (35 hours)
The cinematics phase focuses on implementing crowd interaction sequences as well as other relevant gameplay sequences including showing advertisements briefly between rounds. This enhances the overall presentation and production value of the game.
Avatar Creation (45 hours)
The customization system allows players to create and modify their characters, including implementation of kits and accessories. A framework for skill points and special abilities provides progression mechanics.
Monetization Features (25 hours)
Monetization systems include sponsorship banner implementation, in-game advertisement integration, and development of a basic reward structure. This creates potential revenue streams while maintaining player engagement.
May Development (60 Hours)
Testing Phase (35 hours)
