“Donate & Get a Chance to Own This Vintage Airstream!”

Donation protected

Hi there, my name is Debbie and I never thought that I would be in this position but here I am. I’m 69 years old, single and living alone, so no one to share expenses with, and I’ve always been independent. But with the rising cost of living, I’m struggling to keep up. My rent was already high a couple years ago, and it just keeps going up. On top of that I have bills and mounting credit card debt that are becoming unmanageable. I feel like I’m losing control, and at this rate, I’ll have to work for the rest of my life.

The Hardest Decision: Letting Go of My Vintage Airstream
During Covid, I took on a major project, I had purchased a vintage 1973 24 ft. Airstream Argosy, that I completely renovated, tearing it down to the walls and rebuilding it by myself. After all I had the time. I put my heart and soul and elbow grease into every detail with just a little help from a plumber and a cabinet maker. As an interior designer by trade and a DIY’er not hurt, this wasn’t just a renovation, itwas a labor of love. My oldest granddaughter even gave her a name:
Coco. Over the years has given me and my grandkids priceless memories on camping trips and partying with her will be one of the hardest things I’ll ever have to do, but I will have the memories.

A Unique Idea: Turning This Into Something Positive
I knew I had equity in the trailer, since vintage Airstreams are a desirable collectors item, especially the Argosy because of their unique story and the history of the Airstream trailer, an interesting story to Google. Coco is the only major asset I own, yes, another story behind that, but anyway, and even though I didn’t wanna part with it, I knew selling it might become a reality that was my finances started to disappear in this economy. But now, with the debt piling up, including taxes and paying back Covid relief offerings to the government, the total amount I owe has grown beyond the value of the trailer. That doesn’t mean the trailer isn’t valuable, because it absolutely is.
Instead of selling it traditionally, I had an idea: what if I could turn this into something positive instead of just selling the trailer, I’m giving someone the chance to own it while also helping me get back on my feet.

Here’s how it works:
Anyone who donates is eligible to be selected.
If you donate more than once, you will be entered for each time you donate.
**I want to take a moment to clarify the purpose of this GoFundMe campaign. The main goal is to help me get back on my feet financially during a tough time. Your donations are a direct contribution to helping me regain stability and relieve the burden of overwhelming expenses.
As a thank-you, I am offering my beautifully renovated vintage Airstream (Coco) to one lucky donor. This is NOT a sale of tickets or a lottery—there is no purchase necessary to participate, and donations are purely to help me in this difficult time. The giveaway is simply my way of showing appreciation for your generosity.
If you’ve already donated, I can’t thank you enough. Your kindness means the world to me! If you haven’t yet, please consider sharing this campaign to help spread the word.
Much love and gratitude,

Cheers!
Debbie❤️

COLLAGE #1 - “Coco isn’t just a trailer, she’s part
of our family adventures. From summer nights under the stars to cozy campfires and laughter with my grandkids, she’s been the heart of unforgettable memories, giving her up as bittersweet, but I hope she finds a home or more memories can be made!”

COLLAGE #2 - The Transformation Journey
” Coco’s makeover was a labor of love. I stripped her down to the bare bones and rebuilt her with my own two hands (and a little help from a plumber in a cabinet maker.) From a worn out shell to a bright and modern home on wheels!”

COLLAGE #3 - The Beautiful Final Result
” meet the new and improved Coco! She now boasts, custom built, white oak cabinets, warm butcher block countertops, a cozy dinette custom made from an antique school teacher’s desktop, which collapses down into a oversize queen size bed, a daybed in the living area that pulls out into a double bed, a brand new propane stove to cook on, a decent size original duel propane or electric fridge that works great, a stylish bathroom with a new above counter porcelain sink and new shower adds to the welcoming living space. Every detail was designed with care to make Coco a one-of-a-kind vintage Airstream Argosy.

Legal Disclaimer:
This campaign has no set end date and will remain active until the $65,000 goal is met. The opportunity to own the Airstream is a gesture of appreciation for donors and not a sale or formal giveaway. The trailer is being offered “as is”, in its current totally functional & haul-able condition, without warranties. The selected recipient must arrange for pickup and transport within two weeks after the draw. All decor shown in photos is included.

An Additional Note About the Airstream Argosy Gift
As a thank-you for supporting my GoFundMe campaign, I am offering my fully renovated 1973 Airstream Argosy as a gift to one donor if we reach the campaign goal of $65,000 CAN.

However, I also need to be transparent: The Airstream has just been listed for sale due to the slow progress of donations, they have actually been stalled. If I receive a purchase offer and sell the trailer before we reach the fundraising goal, I will immediately remove it from the campaign, and there will be no drawing and the campaign will be shut down. I did post the GoFundMe link on the “for sale” site at the end of my ad. So for those that look at the ad but don’t want to buy, they will have the option to also donate so it may help bring up the donations to the point where we can draw, but I can’t miss the window to sell it if possible.

What This Means for Donors:
   •   If the trailer does not sell and we reach $65,000 CAN, it will be gifted to a donor in the drawing.
   •   If the trailer sells before then, the drawing will not take place, but all donations will still go toward the actual purpose of this GFM Campaign which is helping me regain financial stability.
   •   Every donation still directly supports my goal of paying off debt and moving forward in life.

I truly appreciate every bit of support, and I want to make sure everyone understands how this works so that no one donates solely with the expectation of winning the Airstream.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out—I want to be as transparent as possible throughout this process!
