William Hill and His Family NEED Our Help!
Donation protected
This is a fundraiser for William Hill (age 20), his mother Meredith (a single mom), and his 15 year old sister Jacquelin. Her son is just starting his road to recovery from a tragic motorcycle accident where he was hit by an oncoming car that crossed into his lane.
William, at 20 years old, just had his life plans come to a halt because of a tragic accident that occurred on May 6th, 2023. The details of his accident and injuries are shared below.
This Go Fund Me is being started by the Family’s Family and Friends to help ease the burden the family will have during this difficult time and allow William to focus on his recovery. We are very appreciative of any donations given and anyone who shares this Go Fund Me with their family and friends.
William is a sweet, caring, supportive, outgoing, always willing to help anyone and genuine-loving person who doesn’t hesitate to help others in need. If you ask anyone who knows him, they will tell you that William is someone they can always depend on to help when they need help. William goes out of his way to help people without a second thought.
William doesn’t just love helping people he loves helping animals in need as well. He loves surprising his mom by bringing home animals that he has found stranded and taking care of them. So much so that the day before the accident he arrived home with a baby goose that he found needing help.
William not only helped his family and friends but also helped his community as a Fire Fighter with the Bushkill Volunteer Fire Company.

William always has a smile on his face and you can count on him to brighten up a room when he walks in. He enjoys life, exploring, having fun with his family, girlfriend and his friends. From snowboarding, going to the gym, working, hiking, swimming and more, he loves being active.
William is a hard worker, who when he has goals, he works towards it and reaches it. His goal of owning a motorcycle was a long-time goal of his since he was young. He worked so hard to learn all the safety procedures of riding and owning a motorcycle. He worked hard to buy his motorcycle and the gear he needed to be safe while riding. He was so proud of himself when he reached the goal of getting one.

The Accident:
On Saturday May 6th, William was riding his motorcycle to his girlfriend’s house and was hit by a car that came into his lane. He was wearing his helmet, he was wearing his protective jacket and he was going the speed limit - His mom has life 360, and that shows he was not speeding. (This is the accident that was at the intersection of Milford Road and Airport Road in East Stroudsburg Pa).
At the scene of the accident William was unresponsive, 2 EMTs were there who knew what to do and helped him until the ambulance arrived. While enroute to Pocono Medical Center William went into Cardiac Arrest, EMTs were able to revive him. Once at Pocono Medical Center William was stabilized, sedated and put on a ventilator. William was then flown by medical helicopter to Leigh Valley Hospital where he has been since.
Current Status of William
This tragic accident is no fault of William but has left William with extensive injuries including a shattered upper jaw (from under the eyes to the mouth), a broken lower jaw, his left arm forearm is shattered, brain swelling, 2 brain bleeds, a punctured lung, and he is currently in the hospital under sedation and on a vent.
While being at Leigh Valley hospital, he has been sedated and on paralytic medications. The doctors inserted an ICP bolt/drain in his head to monitor the pressure, had to preform a surgery to remove a portion of his skull to help relieve the pressure, many scans including CT scans, among other things.
There is still a long list of things that need to be accomplished for William’s recovery including taking him off of sedation and checking his neck ligaments and keeping his blood pressure under control before moving on to the next steps.
The following steps include facial reconstructive surgery surgeries to start fixing his face and jaw, repairing William’s shattered arm, among other things. There is also the unknown factor of if the cardiac arrest caused any brain damage and that will remain unknown until William is able to be awake.

This Go Fund Me page will continue to be updated with William’s progress in his recovery.
William is strong and a fighter. During this time he has been in very critical condition and has been putting up a good fight for his life but still has a long road to recovery to get him back to being the active person that he is.
When William got to the first hospital, no one knew what the outcome would be. Thanks to the EMT’s at the accident scene and the medical staff at both hospitals it is now 4 days since the accident, William is moving in the right direction for recovering from this tragic accident.
How YOU Can Help
This Go Fund Me has been started to ease the burden that his mother, Meredith will have during his recovery, which is just getting started and there are many days, weeks and months ahead of them where the focus needs to be on William’s recovery.
During this time his mother Meredith needs to focus her attention on William’s recovery and taking care of her daughter and herself. Being a single mom adds in the responsibility of her being the one who also works to cover the household expenses (William lives at home with his mother and his sister). William was working prior to the accident and has bills of his own that need to be covered as well.
Going to work right now is not an option as a single mom but the bills still have to be paid and there are now the added expenses of going to the hospital daily.
This GoFund me is to raise funds to help with:
Current Expenses: Meredith is a single mom who handles the expenses of 2 kids on her own. With her son in the hospital balancing work and financial obligations will pose a challenge for her.
Added Expenses: Driving daily to the hospital that is 1 hour away from their home adds up. Meredith drives a minivan and gas is expensive.
Medical Bills: While none currently have to be paid they will need to be paid later.
From the bottom of our hearts we humbly ask that you share this link with friends and family and if possible in financially giving (any amount will help).
