Donation protected
Katherine Kittler is a senior at Syracuse University and has chosen to focus on the pain and suffering of Alzhiemers for her senior thesis. She has seen firsthand the agony and impact of this disease. Katherine’s grandfather was a high level GE employee, bank trustee, and community volunteer. He has been extremely influential in her life displaying strong family and educational values. Eleven years ago, he was diagnosed with Alzheimers. Through his decline, Katherine’s grandmother has been his sole caretaker. Her determination and commitment to keep her husband at home is extraordinary. This dynamic was Katherine’s inspiration for her thesis, which highlights the struggles and strength of a caregiver through this tragic love story. This film intends to accurately portray the impact of Alzheimers and educate viewers on this disease.
Alzheimers is the most feared disease in America, but not many people know the intimate and gruesome details behind it. This film will be a tribute to those with Alzheimers and the loved ones and caregivers who are suffering right alongside them. The money raised will go towards actors, locations, props, costuming, and food. Any amount given will help immensely in creating a project close to Katherine’s heart. Additionally, all excess funds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association to help further their great work.
