Mercy for Mercies

Hello!

For those of you who may or may not know, Mercies May was involved in a rollover accident on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015 at approximately 2:30 pm going northbound on 35E at mile marker 125 in Hugo, MN (quite literally at mile marker 125 as he managed to take out the mile marker marker...). The accident was due to something in the road. The car ahead of Mercies swerved to avoid hitting what was in the road, Mercies followed suite and also swerved further to avoid hitting the cars ahead of him and hit a patch of gravel sending him rolling in an SUV multiple times. The first response team informed Mercies that he was out for approximately 25 minutes, upside down, pinned in the car, and bleeding out with life threatening wounds from his head.  Once removed from the vehicle, Mercies was airlifted by helicopter from Hugo, MN to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. From there, life saving measures were performed.

"IT IS A MIRACLE MERCIES IS ALIVE," is what many people have said about the accident.
At the accident scene and on the way to Regions, Mercies received blood transfusions because of the amount of blood he lost. Once at Regions, the bleeding was completely stopped. There sounds to have been some sort of pnuemothorax as Mercies had a chest tube placed. He lost a lot of skin on his head so plastic surgery was a must so he will have a scar from his forhead to the back of his head. He does have a traumatic brain injury and he is medicated for the pain. He was discharged from the hospital after two intense days. He sleeps a majority of the day and a place to stay is currently in limbo. Between residence, insurance, and recovery a lot is up in the air right now but the road to recovery will surely be several months. At this point, any generousity is helpful at this time and updates will follow. Mercies tell me his pictures are pretty gnarly, as soon as he has enough energy and stregth to share those they will be posted.

We are starting funding off at $20,000 at this time as we have not recieved any medical bills yet.
