We love you Bernd - God is not done yet

Dear friends and helpers,

I'm Nam, and I feel desperate not being able to help my pastor, great friend, and brother in faith, Bernd Armbruster (46), more. He is only receiving palliative treatment due to the severe damage caused by his brain cancer and I believe he is concerned about his wife Ryoko and their three children Anna, Noah and Abigail after he leaves us.

In close conversation with Ryoko, I am here to share his story and would be deeply grateful from the bottom of my heart for any prayers and financial support for the family:

️️What happened?

On 12th of May 2025, our passionate pastor, beloved friend, devoted husband and caring father Bernd, was sent to the emergency room and diagnosed later on 20th of May 2025 with a severe brain cancer. As our passionate pastor he was allowed to join us on our Sunday Service the 25th of May 2025, sharing with us encouraging words and love a last time right before the start of his therapy.

In the same night his brain tumors were bleeding, putting him into a sleeping unconscious state, leading the doctors to the decision of a palliative treatment, where he only gets pain killers to spent the last days with the family and friends.

Why We’re Asking for Help:

First and foremost, if you read this I would appreciate any prayers to Bernd, Ryoko and the kids. Thank you all for your kindness.

This fundraising is to help ease the burden of the coming days and week and allow the family to give Bernd the dignity and care he deserves. Your donation will help cover:

1. Palliative care during his final days

2. Travel expenses for close family to say goodbye

3. Funeral and memorial service costs

4. Outstanding living expenses and urgent bills

5. Grief support and counseling for the family

A personal message from Ryoko

Our inspiring brother in Christ, a great husband to me and a wonderful father of Anna, Noah and Abigail received a diagnosis of Glioblastoma on 20th of May. One week later two tumors in his brain started bleeding and doctors suggested no operation because it will bring him more suffering and damage.

My family and friends in Christ are standing together in this difficult time together and I am very thankful for all the support. You could support us by donating if you feel called to.

God is in control and I'm still believing that God's will for Bernd is the best way. I surrender to His will. Please continue to pray for His peace, protection and grace over all of us, and Bernd feels no pain at all but find comfort in God's arms. Thank you
