Are you tired of seeing your trans friends crowdfund for basic necessities? Do you believe housing is a human right? Do you wish your rent money would go to community instead of a corporate landlord?

Enter: Queer Housing Project

We are a new project based in Portland, OR. Our mission is to permanently house LGBTQIA+ people using the Community Land Trust model and tenant cooperatives. Queer people are twice as likely to experience houselessness than our cishet peers. As more LGBTQIA+ folks move to the Pacific Northwest to flee hostile policies in other states, it is important we create the infrastructure necessary to absorb everyone.

This initial round of fundraising is to establish public interest, assist in forming a board, pay legal fees for filing to incorporate as a non-profit, and create community-focused fundraising events to engage the broader community.
