Walk in solidarity and support life-saving aid in Gaza

SITUATION

The daily atrocities being inflicted upon the Palestinian people are beyond harrowing. We struggle to find apt words and emotions to describe how we feel as they face starvation, violence, displacement and death. It's difficult to witness all this whilst not being in a position to stop what is increasingly being described as genocide, apartheid and ethnic cleansing.

But we can support people on the ground working tirelessly to help our Palestinian brothers and sisters, like those working for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).

CATASTROPHIC CRISIS

This fundraiser is inspired by my friend, Dr Goher Rahbour (below left), who is a Consultant Surgeon volunteering with MAP at Nasser Hospital. It is the last standing hospital in southern Gaza, a lifeline for nearly 1 million people.

Yet as of 12 June, Nasser Hospital faces imminent collapse and invasion following increasing attacks and forced displacement orders surrounding the hospital, which now sits in a 'red' active combat zone (read more: https://bit.ly/3ZqJz4r). I worry for my friend, I worry for the Palestinian people. PLEASE SUPPORT MAP TO HELP THEM!

SOLIDARITY WALK

On Sunday 29th June 2025, we are holding a family friendly walk in the Surrey Hills National Landscape to unite people who stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people. We hope to be joined by my friend Dr Goher Rahabour.

ABOUT MAP

MAP are providing immediate medical aid to those in great need on the ground in Gaza, inclusive of medical supplies and healthcare professionals from overseas. Everyone is operating in hostile conditions and ACTIVE FIGHTING ZONES, within a decimated healthcare system lacking enough equipment, medicines and specialist staff, which is resulting in preventable deaths occurring daily.

Morale and supplies are depleted, so any support you can provide could be the difference needed to SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE and help our healthcare colleagues. PLEASE DONATE TO MAP TO HELP SUPPORT THEM!
