Hearing Helpers

My name is Jaeda Yurkiw and I'm a 21-year-old civil engineering student attending the University of British Columbia Okanagan in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

I started this foundation to help children and their families living with hearing loss. My dream is to mentor young children, provide navigation and support for families, fundraise to provide hearing aids/equipment for children who otherwise would go without due to financial hardship and finally, make a donation in support of the most up to date progressive research projects available to cure hearing loss.

I have established a GoFundMe campaign which is currently running for 2022-2023. Our goal is to raise $14,000 to fund two pairs of hearing aids for BC children in need ages 4-17 years, two Rogers FM systems for preschool children, university scholarships awarded to graduating students with hearing loss or who have persevered through challenges going on to post secondary education, and finally donate to the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss (SICHL). http://med.stanford.edu/hearinglosscure/ To date, we have raised over $3500 and funded seven scholarships to graduating high school students who have overcome challenges from 2019 to 2022.

Help make a difference in a child’s life ... please donate today! Every dollar makes a difference, please help by spreading the word and share this page.
