Funds will go for Tribble and Luna's vet bills. Additionally, any extra funds will go towards a reward for identifying the coward that did this and left the scene without rendering aid.
Linda, Luna and Tribble were attacked by a large, vicious dog that got away from its owner at the RV Park where we were staying. Tribble was killed and Luna is recovering from emergency surgery to repair her injuries. Linda was bitten on her hand, which is healing.
Luna (injured)
Luna is NOHS Bronze and received Award of Merit at the 2024 National Cocker Spaniel Specialty. She recently started in Scent Work and has several qualifying runs in Novice elements. She has also won many Best Junior handler awards with several juniors on her lead.
Tribble 7/5/2013 - 3/20/2026 (deceased)
Tribble is ranked #32 ASCOB Cocker in Lifetime points NOHS. She was only the 11th cocker to receive the SHDE Title in scent work. She was my first homebred champion and performance dog.
Tribble was truly the love of my life. She was feisty, prissy, and always the happiest dog no matter what I asked her to do.
I started showing Tribble when she was a puppy. She won the ASCOB Variety in her first Specialty Sweepstakes. Upon completion of her Championship, my granddaughter Cari took over the reins, finishing Tribble’s Grand Champion title. Cari also showed her in Junior Handling, winning many awards. Tribble was my intro into performance sports. We earned her BN and CD in Obedience, then went all the way through RAE3 in Rally, which she earned last summer at the age of 12, even after losing one eye. Tribble loved playing these games with me and earned titles in many different events. We took a one-day class in scent work a few years ago and Tribble loved it! We were hooked. Our first trial was in Lubbock at the very first HPKC SW trial. We actually got some qualifying runs that weekend in spite of ourselves. That was where I first met Caroline. She has been a part of our scent work journey since then. Tribble loved the Handler Discrimination element and was quick to earn her Novice title there. We moved on up, achieving the Excellent title. She was currently working on her Master level in HD.
Tribble was a once-in-a-lifetime dog, but her legacy will be carried on by Elouise, Maleficent, and Luna.
