Hi, my name is Anne and I am fundraising on behalf of Casey Chapman.

Casey is my daughter's girlfriend and she had come to our home in Windsor, from Nebraska, to visit with my daughter for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, their time together was cut short when Casey was hit by a car on March 28th while they were walking back from a variety store.

Casey was struck from behind and has had to undergo serious surgery. She suffered a fracture to her C7 on her upper spine , a bone fragment had broken on the left side and there was also ligament damage to her left shoulder down her arm and numbness in her hand.

The neurosurgeon had to go through the trachea to either remove the bone or to fuse it. Her surgery was 2 1/2 hours and fortunately the surgeon was able to fuse the bone Casey now has a metal plate on her spine.

We have had to seek a lawyer to pursue a lawsuit against the driver. Casey does not have medical insurance, nor the funds to cover legal costs. My family are doing everything we can to support her but we do not have the financial means to cover costs, which are undetermined at this time.

Casey is a vibrant, kind positive-spirited young lady. She is an incredibly talented graphic artist.

We are reaching out to the community and extended community to help support Casey.
