Fendi the French Bulldog rescue pup
In April 2019 Erika and Alex lost their beautiful dog Frankie. They took her in for a basic surgery to help fix her breathing, which was the last time they got to see her. She had complications in surgery and had a bad reaction to the aesthetic which caused significant brain damage and she couldn’t breathe on her own.
“It’s very rare for this to happen, the vets are shocked and unsure why, Erika and I made the decision to put her to rest last night at about 10pm. We love you so much lil Frankie no dog will ever compare to you. Such a little character and we are so blessed we had you in our wedding. RIP little angel.” Alex Tinwell
Four months later, they adopted the gorgeous Fendi which has filled their life with so much love and happiness.
“Erika and I would like to introduce “Fendi” she’s an 18 month old French Bulldog rescue pup. Long story short she never got the attention she needed and was looking for a forever home. We feel so blessed that good words were put in for us to allow the previous owner to decide we were the right fit to take her in. As the days go by it feels more real that we get to give her the best life possible. So many similarities to our little Frankie, it feels like doggy heaven knew we had a hole in our heart that needed filling. Cheers everyone.” Alex Tinwell
On Sunday, Fendi slipped her disc in her back which is called IVDD and has become paralysed from her back legs down. She needs a specialist vet which treats this condition that effects the spine. The scans came back today and it shows that it's majorly herniated in the lower back so she is going straight in for surgery. The procedure has a 90% success rate of recovery and costs $9000.
Erika and Alex are such amazing, happy, giving, hardworking and positive people. Our heart breaks for this beautiful family, that they must go through all of this again.
Let's come together to help them with the support they need!
