hello, everyone. i’m coming to you all to ask for help, as my family is currently going through a tough time. my aunt, now 70, has fallen and broken her upper right arm and shattered her shoulder. the nature of this injury requires a complex surgery to fix through a private doctor, and we simply don’t have the money to afford such care right now, which is why i’m turning to my community for assistance. my aunt currently lives in el salvador, making it impossible for myself and my mother to care for her at this time. her visa has been denied, essentially forcing us to help her from afar as best we can. until this point, she has lived independently, and very happily, supporting herself by feeding her own community and selling sandwiches outside of her home. this injury has taken away that income and her independence, and the ability to cover her expenses now hangs in the balance. we are asking for a total of $8,000 to cover her medical expenses and aftercare once she is through the surgery and on her recovery journey. any donations are appreciated by myself and my family more than you know, along with sharing this fundraiser to spread the word. my family and i thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for any donations, good thoughts or prayers, or shares of this post.
