Sadly, Neil lost his battle with Cancer on the morning of Thursday 21st November. Now, more than ever, we hope to be able to provide Kathryn some comfort through financial relief whilst she and the family mourn this heartbreaking loss.

Hello everybody,

My name is Michael, and my wife Prue and I are fundraising for the beautiful and inspirational soul that is Kathryn Edmundson.

It's not often you come across a real life story of courage, compassion and unwavering loyalty, but Kathryn's story is just that. A dedicated foster mum, Kathryn's heart is as big and beautiful as her smile.

When husband Neil was first diagnosed with Neuroendocrine cancer in August of 2017, it was Kathryn who sprung in to action. Kathryn has been by Neil's side ever since, and has been the driving force of a 7-year battle against this cruel disease. To fight, as Neil and Kathryn have done, has meant both have had to take on an unimaginable emotional toll whilst attempting to work and support a family of their own.

What makes Kathryn's story unique, is that she has willingly taken on such a huge task and suffered such a significant toll whilst spreading so much joy to family and friends. Such is her selfless nature. As the saying goes, "to live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering" and Kathryn's ability to remain focused and optimistic throughout Neil's cancer journey is nothing short of remarkable.

But now, as Neil faces his toughest challenge yet, it is Kathryn who needs our support.

Kathryn has been working full time whilst caring for Neil and their children, which is testament to her energy and commitment.

It is now important that Kathryn is given time and space to be with Neil without having to worry about work and financials.

To make this possible we are fundraising for our beautiful friend who is always the first to help others.

We hope that this little fundraising page lessens a little bit of the stress in Kathryn and Neil's life so they can be fully present with each other and their children.
