Urgent: Save Gaza Lives Now!

Hello,

My name is Mossa and I am Palestinian. I am fortunate to be outside of Palestine, but my family is trapped in the Gaza Strip.

To be honest, I was hesitating to go online. It is not easy for me to share it and I feel ashamed to ask for help. But I can not do it by myself. Seeing your incredible support, it gives a last and only chance to me and my family.

The story of my family is the same as that of countless Palestinians.

Let me introduce you to my family.

My beautiful family comes from Gaza. I have four sisters and three brothers. My sisters Ramia, Mai and Maha are still students hoping for a good future. My eldest sister Maisa is a teacher, she is married and has two gorgeous little girls. My brother Alla is married, having one girl and one boy, and his profession is speech therapist. My brother Mokhles is also married, and he is a social worker. My brother Mohamed is an accountant and a specialist in digital marketing. My father, Yousef is retired. And the strongest person and pillar of my family is our loving mother, Wafaa.

See, they used to live a normal happy life. But then with a war, this all is just a past…

At the beginning of the war, my family was staying in UN shelters. Later, they were forced to flee to Rafah after attacking our village, where our house was bombarded and damaged. After a while in Rafah, as the situation worsened there, my family returned to our village, struggling to survive day by day. Thankfully, they are still all alive and in quite good health, but for how long?

I left Gaza 10 years ago for a scholarship to Sri Lanka. In those 10 years I haven't been able to visit my family even once. You are asking why. We, the Palestinians, don’t have basic freedom of movement and rights. We are treated as stateless refugees. 10 years without hugging my habibti mother, without seeing my family. And now the possibility of never seeing them again, can't even be described by words.

My constant fear, anger, desperation, and being so helpless, made me reach out online for your compassionate assistance to save my family. They, too, deserve to live and have dreams and a future ahead of them.

My family doesn’t know about this campaign. I don’t have the heart to give them even a small hope and belief that they will be safe.

Without You, I will never be able to save them.

I humbly ask for your support to evacuate my family safely to Egypt so I can hug my mother again and reunite with my whole family.

We cannot change what is happening in Gaza and Palestine, but we can give many lives a chance.
