Hello, my name is Derek and I have a great concern that has been weighing on my heart. Me and my little Orange striped cat were asked to move from our apartment back house of 3 years. It wasn't what you would call a normal move. My boss of 15 years colluded with my landlord, to get me kicked out of my place, all out of retaliation, after I hurt my back at work and applied for Workers Compensation. As soon as I did that to protect myself, the next day my boss was on the property in an unauthorized part of the property, at my back window off of the back yard of property banging on my window wanting to know when I was going to return to work. I told them that it was inappropriate for them to be there and they ignored me, and went inside to speak to my landlord. Prior to me moving in, my employer had a contract to do an extensive amount of demolition and hauling and removal services for the landlord. I moved in not long after and was there as I mentioned for roughly 3 years. I just found out around the time moving out, that the unit was not permitted for habitation . The next day there was a 60 day notice to vacate and end tenancy.. I was always a good tenant and paid my rent on time, for 3 years straight. It was a collusion between my landlord and former boss and his former client, out of retaliation for filing a workers compensation insurance claim, all because, I simply hurt my back on the job and filled for workers compensation. Its okay, people like that will get what's coming to them, eventually, in due time. Also, because I have been trying to find a place that is ok with me having a cat. He's an indoor cat that is trained and stays in my room when im at work. Unfortunately because my workplace, also was a toxic place that my boss created, He also physically assaulted me, publicly and privately humiliated me verbally, with a constant barrage of insults. I legally and constructively discharged myself because was unbearable to work for him, and it even gave me PTSD, from all the years of abuse. But in going through it all and losing my place and my job, I have been having to stay in a hotel temporarily with my cat. He's the only thing i. this world that I truly love and care for. In a few days, we will have run out of savings and will be forced to stay in my car or a shelter. I have never been in this position and have never been more afraid in my life. I don't have any family or friends that are close by or able to help me out, unfortunately, and I don't have any credit. I plead and ask for some assistance at this trying time. I know its just temporary but I do genuinely need help. I appreciate any consideration and concern in this momentary hardship. I wouldn't ask if I didn't truly need it, as I have always earned my own living. Its definitely a test of ones own pride, ego, dignity. I appreciate anything that will help keep me and my fur baby going and finding a place and job. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and humbled. God bless you all
