Hi, I'm Bri. I'm a single mom of 5 incredible kids & I’m starting this fundraiser for our family because we are facing an urgent need here at the start of the school year. A week ago, my only vehicle suffered a blown head gasket. My mechanic was hesitant to give me a locked-in cost to fix it, but it looks like it will could be as much as $4,000. This is so far outside my budget & I don't know how I'm going to be able to make this happen.

I have a small business cleaning houses and I run DoorDash to help make ends meet. Both these sources of income are shot until I can get my car fixed. Even though that need is the most urgent, I'm also worried for my kids in this. They are starting up a new school year and the after-school programs that give me a little more breathing room to work all require transportation. The beginning of the year is such an important time for bonding with other kids and building strong routines with teachers and coaches. I want them to be able to start off on the right foot, feel included, and fully participate instead of missing out because we do not have reliable transportation.
