Unexpected loss of father, Sam Henry
On February 18, 2020, our father Sam Henry unexpectedly passed away due to a massive heart attack leaving behind his wife (Maxine), six beautiful children (Aretha, Clay, Tamika, Shika, Gregory, and Saundra) and a host of family and friends. His love for us matched our adoration for him.
Sam believed in hard work and had a passion for serving. He devoted 29 years (and 6 months) of service in the United States Army as Command Sergeant Major (E9) and then retired in 1997.
Not only did he work hard maintaining peace and security as Command Sergeant Major in the Korean, Gulf and Vietnam Wars and a host of tours, he worked even harder to maintain peace and security for his family.
Sam loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He continuously provided for his family as God instructed the role of the husband to do. When things got hard, he didn’t complain instead he prayed and trusted God. Sam was so selfless in allowing our mom to focus on being a full time mother.
Now with this incredible father, husband, papa, uncle and brother now gone, as well as the main source of income, our mom (Maxine Henry) needs as much help as she can get for the funeral services, medical expenses and for her home. I ask if everyone can please share this tragic story to all their friends and family. Remember every little bit helps! Thank you and God Bless!
