Late Wednesday night Nov 11th, the family was watching a movie together like any other day. Mysti's sweet son, Gage, noticed mom slouched over on the couch and not breathing. They called 911 immediately and her husband, Robert, administered CPR until the paramedics arrived. As we are learning now, it was too long without oxygen to her brain. Her sweet, loving, mother's heart just stopped beating that night and even though life support had it going strong again, her brain function never returned. She was no longer with us. Mysti's mother, Tawnya Mathiews, and Mysti's husband, Robert, had to do the unthinkable on Friday, and stop life support.
Mysti Sheffield is my step-sister that lives in Mobile, Alabama with her husband Robert and their 4 children, Tessa, Tara, Gage, and Rayne. Her whole life is her family. She was a stay-at-home mom and kept everything running while her husband works hard to provide for their family. While everyone is in shock, the kids especially are on auto pilot still, finding themselves saying, "Let me go ask Mom." They are lost without her.
Mysti and Robert worked hard to provide for their family, but unfortunately never anticipated anything like this coming. I know their entire world has changed and there isn't much I can do to help them through these difficult times but with the burden of unexpected medical bills and now funeral and burial expenses, I feel it is the least I can do to try to help relieve some of the financial stress, knowing there is only more to come.
Any monies received will be directly routed to Robert's bank account so he can cover expenses.
I am so grateful for any financial support you are able to give, and would be even more grateful for yours prayers offered on their behalf.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Jamie Gulas Denkers
