Unemployed (and looking) car needs repair

As the title says I’m unfortunately currently unemployed, although I’m actively looking. A few weeks ago my car started making a squeaking noise when I turned, with not having a job, I just turned up the radio and ignored it. But it started to get pretty bad so I took it into my local mechanic and had them diagnose it.

They I need a front strut replacement, and like everything else they need to be replaced in pairs to avoid strain on the other side of the car and avoid potential damage down the road.

They quoted me $1353.93

Being currently unemployed, I can barely pay my rent and other bills let alone an unexpected $1300 car repair.

I’m making this GoFundMe because I need my car in order to drive to interviews and/or attempt to do uber eats or something. The more I drive it the worse it gets and eventually it’s just gonna be not driveable sooner rather than later.

I would look into getting a loan or trying to finance the payments, but I’m already dealing with loans I cant pay and the effect it’s having on my credit.
