Foster Family

Ethan and Bridget Foster had twins after only 25 weeks of pregnancy.  On February 28th Lane and Ellie foster were born, Ellie 1lb 8oz, and Lane 2lb 1oz. We lost baby Ellie due to an infection two days after birth.  Baby Lane  is currently doing okay. He has been getting blood transfusions and a picc line. Those both have possible down sides but there isn’t really any alternatives. He has to have them. He can’t make blood cells as fast as they are taking his blood to test it. The picc line will replace his umbilical line and it will be a more long term solution to give him what he needs and be able to obtain blood. His kidneys are functioning well but we’re still waiting for a stool.  Lane still has a long up hill battle ahead of him, but he has proven already that he is a fighter. 

Ethan and Bridget are both born and raised in Blanchard where they both currently live. Ethan is a Captain on the Blanchard Fire, always going above and beyond for his home town community.  Bridget is one of the strongest people I know,  she was diagnosed with cancer at an early age and spent years fighting an up hill battle to beat it.  Due to all the cancer treatments she was told she would most likely never conceive a child.  Lane and Ellie where both miracle baby's and an answer to many prayers.
