In Remembrance of Stephen Brown
Donation protected
I am placing this post in support of the Brown family of Centreville Virgina and in remembrance of Stephen Christopher Brown, beloved son of Carla-Maria Brown (deceased) and Robert Brown SR., his siblings Robert Jr., Erica and nephew Brycen Jeffers.
It is with profound sadness that I share with you that despite his vibrant spirit and unquestioned resilience, on Sunday morning, February 11, 2024, Stephen suddenly and unexpectedly passed away in Mount Vernon Hospital due to complications from a recent surgical procedure. Stephen was born with Jobs Syndrome, a very rare immune deficiency. Throughout his life he endured constant hospitalizations due to various skin, throat and respiratory infections. Throughout all of his delicate and complicated life, Stephen was a beautiful soul that always had a smile on his face, never complained and was always there for his family, friends and strangers. He touched so many lives with kindness and compassion.
In early January, Stephen contracted a life-threatening infection (Necrotizing soft tissue and Fournier’s Gangrene) that spread rapidly throughout his body resulting in multiple emergency surgeries. Even during this terrible time, he kept a smile on his face and concern for others. On this blessed Sunday, due to unexpected complications, he experienced excessive bleeding that could not be controlled; God called him home to the arms of his mother and he quietly and peacefully transitioned.
Stephen lived his entire life in Centreville Virgina graduating from Westfields High School. He was loved by so many and leaves behind an entire community of friends. As active patient at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, he physically participated in countless Jobs Syndrome case studies that provided invaluable information, that has and will, continue to save the lives of others with his condition.
As his passing was so sudden, the family was not prepared financially. Please consider donating anything you can to help in this tragic time of need so that the family can properly and respectfully provide the care he so greatly deserves.
May God bless you all.
