Buy Home for Reyna and Nate of Ts'uyya Farm

Hey Community!

 

We are fundraising and selling WAFFLE TICKETS (more info at the bottom!)  for Reyna Banteah (she/her) from the Pueblo of Zuni and Nate Unek Francis (he/him) is Tewa and was born and raised in the four corners of New Mexico in buying a house + hopefully farmable land for Ts'uyya Farm.

This is an opportunity to support directly Nate + Reyna in their ability to thrive, create + continue to grow food for their families back home, for the survival of seeds, for the spirits of the land, and for their extended community.

Housing prices and land prices are increasing in New Mexico and everywhere else.

 

Reyna and Nate are currently being pushed out of their rental with rumors of rent increasing 50%.

 

Most houses are being bought out by out-of-state investors in cash well over the asking price. Most houses with even a little bit of growing space need a lot of additional money and infrastructure to make livable.

 

We are raising funds to help cover these costs + open up more opportunities for them.

 

The dream is that we are able to gather over 500,000 dollars to cover the cost of a home + small plot to farm + any additional costs!

 

Those numbers seem big! So we will start with some goals!

 

$1000 - helps cover some of the immediate costs of homebuying (appraisal, some inspections)

$7,500- helps cover part of the down payment + homebuying costs

$17,500- $45,000- helps cover the down payment and with material costs, repairs and renovations needed

$50,000- 100,000- opens up additional buying options// larger renovation projects to make livable!

$200,000- Buys an immediately livable house with little to no land, but pays off their mortgage in cash!!!

$500,000- they have a chance to buy a livable home that needs little work, at least 3+ acres of farmable land with maybe some acequia rights and maybe a well that is not dry ;)

$750,000 + Ts'uyya Farm is supported longer term!

 

Whatever you are able to give will be greatly appreciated!!!
