C is an 18 year old trans youth from Waterloo raising money for his upcoming top surgery! We are hope to rally the community together to help raise some funds to support him for the surgery and recovery weeks following.

Ever since coming out as trans on his 14th birthday, C has been eagerly waiting for the chance to support his physical transition by getting top surgery. Having to be 18 years old in Ontario to get top surgery meant he has been waiting for years now, but finally we have a scheduled date - January 6, 2026!

While the procedure itself is covered by OHIP, additional contouring and body masculinization is not considered "essential" in Canada and therefore costs an additional $7000 at the clinic C is going to, Catalyst Surgical (https://catalystsurgical.ca/procedures/top-surgery/). C will be travelling to Toronto for a few days for prep and recovery, as well as follow up appointments to make sure everything is recovering smoothly. Between the costs of the surgery and the approximately 4-8 weeks he needs to take off of work, we are hoping to raise as much as we can to support him through this time.

C is a caring, hard working youth who is beloved to a lot of us in the Waterloo community. He is currently taking a year off between high school and university to work and save as much money as he can to support himself through school and rent, and now his surgery as well.
