Hey my name is Scoob and I'm an artist based in Grand Rapids working on a Project that I feel is important and I need your help.

Trauma Project IG

As an artist, my mission is to shed light on the often overlooked topic of mental health. In many cultural contexts, discussing mental health is considered taboo, leading to a lack of understanding and support for those who are struggling. With my Trauma project, I aim to break this silence and initiate a dialogue that promotes healing and growth. The Trauma project takes viewers on a transformative journey, starting from a place of darkness and trauma, and guiding them towards a path of light and resilience. I believe that post-traumatic growth, a concept often overlooked, is a powerful force that can empower individuals to overcome their struggles and emerge stronger than before. Through a series of 16 paintings, I have collaborated with local artists who bring their unique perspectives and talents to the project. Each painting is accompanied by a customized track created by these artists, which adds an additional layer of emotional depth to the visual experience. To create an immersive atmosphere, the selected paintings are enhanced with AI embedded AR technology, allowing viewers to engage with the artwork in a dynamic and interactive way. Furthermore, to amplify the impact of the project, voice overs will be included, giving voice to the often voiceless. By combining traditional canvas art with music and technology, I aim to create a multidimensional experience that not only expresses emotions visually and musically but also fosters a sense of connection and understanding among viewers. My ultimate goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where individuals can confront and explore their own experiences with mental health, while also encouraging empathy and compassion towards others. Through the Trauma project, I hope to contribute to a wider conversation about mental health on a universal level THROUGH my eyes, breaking down barriers and fostering a community of healing and support.

With this timely outreach for community funding we hope to secure a physical manifestation of the project in a media that is timeless, as is befitting a legacy project such as this- vinyl and canvas. The goal is to produce limited run vinyl and canvas prints signed by the members of this project that can be purchased by supporters to live on and be shared in the community as a reminder of this groundbreaking project for our city and be handed down for generations to come after us. The sales of these limited edition items will then go on to fund future projects and endeavors of this caliber. Your support is GREATLY appreciated by all those involved in this monumental undertaking and will not be forgotten!
