Trailer modification for stroke victim Richard
Hi! My name is Terry Clark, my son is Richard Koehler and he is in need of assistance for trailer repairs and modifications to make his trailer handicapped accessible.
In September of 2020 he lost everything in the Slater fire that swept through parts of Happy Camp in northern California.
He was on a wait list for alternative housing when he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke which left his right side paralyzed and affected his short term memory abilities.
He has been able to purchase an older trailer, but lacks the funds to make the repairs and needed modifications to accommodate his wheelchair and physical limitations.
He is working hard in his rehabilitation to regain any mobility possible, but it will be a very long road with no assurance that he will be able to walk unassisted again.
He is in need of your help to provide a wheelchair ramp, water heater, stove, repair of the electrical, plumbing and air conditioning systems and other miscellaneous repairs to meet his basic needs.
He is also in need of a three wheeled mobility scooter to get into town for shopping, laundry and general care needs.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read his story and to thank you in advance for any donations made on his behalf.
May God bless each of you for your interest and generosity.
