As many of you are probably aware, Wednesday evening May 27th 2026 there was a stolen truck torched on Cedar Hill Golf course, upsetting many people with the course being closed down for a few days.

Sadly, the damage to the golf course is nothing compared to the damage done to Tony Nicholls Gardening company, whom the truck belonged to.

Tony Nicholls runs a very small local landscaping company here in Victoria, has just a handful of long term dedicated employees, and all around is just a damn good guy.

That truck was their main mode of transportation of themselves, and equipment to the many properties that they service.

It was the only way for them to be able to continue to work for 98% of the work they do.

The equipment necessary for landscaping you cannot bring on a bus or fit in a taxi.

Which is why, when the truck was stolen (out of the parking lot of Tony's church) it was full of the equipment absolutely necessary for their day to day, every day.

And sadly this equipment is not inexpensive.

As it stands, because of this thiefs selfish, thoughtless, cruel and criminal act, a good, upstanding and hardworking man may end up losing the business he has spent over a decade building, and his loyal dedicated employees facing joblessness and housing issues in the near future.

We are politely asking that if you have anything possible to donate towards regaining a vehicle and equipment for this small local company, it would mean the world to them.
