On the night of June 20th Tony stopped on his way home to change a stranger’s flat tire. While
doing so, another driver hit and totaled his truck, ran over the couple he was helping, ran over
Tony and drug him under the car for over 20 feet before stopping. A
driver changed three lives in an instant. Tony was immediately rushed to a local trauma center
in hemorrhagic shock with life threatening injuries including a fractured frontal sinus, eight
fractured ribs, a collapsed lung, open pelvic fracture, ruptured bladder, severe right knee injury,
and a large right side hematoma; he has been in the ICU fighting for his life since.
Tony has undergone three surgeries to date and will undergo many more in the process to
recover. He now has four chest tubes and remains on a ventilator since the night of the
accident. Though his road to recovery has only just begun, we know it will be long and
unpredictable.
Needless to say, his accumulating medical bills are a completely unexpected expense for Tony
and his family. Our hope in creating this GoFundMe is to ease the burden, if ever so slightly, so
Tony can focus on learning how to live again. Thank you for any and all donations, your
generosity is appreciated beyond measure. prayers and well wishes are always welcome;
consider giving blood (Tony has lost over half of his and when another bag of blood being hung
