Hello! My name is Toni Mulder; I am 19 years old & I'm a junior at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. I am currently getting my bachelor's degree: Dual Major in Business & Art.
I have the wonderful opportunity of going on an 8 day study abroad trip to London & Paris! I would be meeting CEO's of 3-4 different businesses there & get hands on experience touring & working with them. This trip not only gives me credit towards my degree, it also gives me a better understanding of how international businesses work & apply that knowledge to my future career.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, & with that being said, I need all the help I can get raising money to pay for this college trip. I need to raise $3,400 by February, 2019. I leave for the trip in May after the Spring semester ends, but I have to finish making payments in February in order to go.
I would greatly appreciate it if you would donate money to help me out!! Anything helps, even $1! Thank you so much for your generosity and support!
More about me & my educational career:
Throughout my junior and senior year of high school, I was a student in the Early College Program, which meant that in the mornings I would be taking college classes through Muskegon Community College and in the afternoon I would drive back to high school to take normal high school classes. By doing this, I received my associate's degree only a year after graduating from high school! If I did not do the program, I would be a sophomore in college just like everyone else in my graduating class of 2017, but because of the E.C. Program, I am academically a junior in college and I can focus on the credits I need for my dual major degree.
Education is extremely important to me & I have worked so hard throughout school to always have good grades. My high school GPA was always above a 3.5 (even when taking college classes at the same time & working a part-time job after school & on the weekends) and my GPA at MCC last year was 3.25! I have also volunteered for Red Cross & CultureWorks (an art academy). I have won multiple honors awards, been apart of the National Honors Society, and more. Currently I am in the Social Action Committee club at Aquinas where we volunteer to help others in our community as well as talk about important issues going on today & raise awareness.
Money has always been a struggle for me & my family but I have never let that get in the way of my education. I have worked very hard to get where I am today but I could not have done it without a little help and support. So thank you again for considering to donate for my study abroad trip! It means so much to me and I am forever grateful!
