Tom and Debbie with medical and everyday bills

My name is Morgan, I am trying to raise funds for my Mom & Step Dad to TRY & take a little stress off of them.

I am not the best at articulating his exact story but I’ll try..

Tom was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma in June 2022. He endured through chemo, radiation and various treatments and fortunately he beat the cancer! (That is a very diluted version)

He recently went in for a surgery to clear debris from radiation that he was supposed to be in and out same day. They ran into complications and discovered the his original tumor had eaten a gap between his brain and sinus cavity. They were able to rebuild it and although it was unexpected, and he had to stay longer in recovery, Tom once again came through ok! He does have more treatment to go through unfortunately to completely get rid of the cancer because they found after a tissue sample was taken, there were bits of cancer still present.

Now fast forward to today.. My mom & him we’re getting ready to drive to visit for Christmas and Tom started to feel

unwell. He is currently in the hospital being treated for meningitis..but they have yet to get solid results.

It is an extremely rare cancer typically associated with smoking or working in certain industries but Tom fit none of the typical demographics and also tested negative for specific viruses that would cause it.. so the source of his cancer is unknown.

Tom has somehow managed to keep working though a lot of this. And my Mom had probably lost more sleep than anyone in this situation, days without food, sleeping in hospital chairs and making sure Tom is getting the best care.

Being able to help them with medical bills, everyday bills and take even a tiny bit of stress off of them would be amazing. They are two of the most loving and caring people and would never ask for help themselves. But would be the first to help others. Luckily for them they raised *me* and I don’t mind asking for them. They live very far from most of their family and it is extremely hard to not be able to physically be there for them, so this is something we could and feel as we’ve helped.
