Hi, my name is Havana and I am 7 years old.
When I grow up, I want to be an astronaut, POTUS, and an artist.

I just returned last week from Ghana where Taylor Richardson and I shared our dreams of becoming astronauts, as well as our passion for reading and literacy to get there.

Together we raised over $25,000 to fly to Ghana and donate books and many other supplies to the 17 girls at the St. Bakhita Orphanage. (www.gofundme.com/rhymersarereaders)

Our goal was to encourage these young girls in STEM as well as conquering any goals and dreams they have.

Additionally, one of the donors from my last campaign is sending me to family space camp in Huntsville, Alabama at the end of August. I am really excited to continue learning more about space on my journey to becoming an astronaut when I grow up. (https://www.spacecamp.com/space/family)

Going to space camp is really important to me because I will get to launch on simulated missions to the International Space Station.
I will get to train like a real NASA
astronaut on the Multi-Axis Trainer and the 1/6th Gravity Chair, make my own model rocket, and learn about space exploration and amazing people like my (s)hero Dr. Mae Jemison. This would be a dream come true for me!

But to make this dream into a reality, I need your help. I need to raise $1000 for the plane tickets to Alabama and one of my parents to go with me by August 15th.

I partner with Mahogany Books in Southeast Washington DC for a story hour each week as well as run a book club for the kids in my choir. Any extra funds will go towards buying more books for kids in my community and in my book club.
