Tina's Study Abroad

Hi Family!
I have some exciting news! I have been accepted into a study abroad program at my school, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I will be going to Bali this winter break, to study how water and the natural environment affect Bali and its culture. I’ve been wanting to do this program for over a year now, and have finally been accepted. Studying abroad is an exciting opportunity, and is required for me to graduate in the business school. This experience will help differentiate me from other candidates when I apply for internships and full time jobs. It is a great resume builder! With this experience, I can hopefully work outside of the US after I graduate.
As excited as I am for the program, the cost of attending is quite high. I have applied for multiple scholarships, but it is not guaranteed that I will get any of them. I have been working over the summer and part time during the school year to save up for this, but I do still have to pay for rent, textbooks, and groceries, and other expenses. The program cost will be around $6000 and this includes some meals, travel expenses, lodging, and excursions. If possible, I would like to raise a good amount by December!
I am asking you all, if possible, to donate to help pay for my trip abroad. I want to enjoy the experience and not feel too burdened by the cost. Anything helps! Regardless if you can donate or not, I appreciate the love and support!
Thank you,
Martina
