Tess' Bionic Arm

Donation protected
So anybody in the world that has had the pleasure of meeting me knows that I never think of myself as particularly 'disabled', however in reality, I pretty much depend on my (amazing) carers for absolutely everything from wiping my ass (sorry to be crude, but it's true) and saving my life when I've got a chest infection, to cramming my feet into the most impractical high heels imaginable. In terms of the physical, independence is not something I am particularly familiar with, so earlier this week when I came across a piece of equipment called a Neater Eater Assist, I thought all my birthdays had come at once. It is essentially a robotic support for my arm that will allow me to do some of the things that 'normal' people take for granted, such as feeding myself (yep, really), brushing my own teeth, scratching my own nose, popping my own pills, and most importantly, applying my own make up (my priorities are f*cked, I know). Here comes the typical part of the story – this amazing piece of equipment costs £4000, and of course it isn't available on the NHS. Due to this, my utterly incredible and selfless mum and cousin Francine have offered to raise money for me by doing Stoptober. My mum will be banishing the fags and Francine will be giving up the vodka. In a nutshell, I want to ask if you lovely people will sponsor them in order for me to purchase this life changing piece of machinery?? I would be grateful of absolutely any donation, no matter how big or small!
