The Wheaton’s

Heaven gained an incredible angel on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Stephanie peacefully passed away at the age of 37 with family by her side, after an extremely courageous fight against cancer.

The Wheaton's are a wonderful family that are currently posted to Ottawa. We know them from our previous service together in BC, and now have had the unique opportunity to continue that friendship here in Ottawa.

Rob and Stephanie have two sons, Evan (9yrs) & Carter (6yrs), with their youngest being severely disabled. Throughout all the challenges thrown their way, Rob and Stephanie continued to live their lives to the fullest they could.

Rob is one of the most driven individuals I've met, and dedicated Dad. Carter requires 24hr care, which Rob is currently the only one trained in providing. The cost to have nurses attend the residence to provide Rob some time to get out with Evan, is extremely costly. If enough funds are collected, Rob may have an extra day or night here and there to allow him an opportunity to attend Evans sporting events and/or have some time for himself, which is significantly important for ones mental and physical health.

This Go Fund me page is set up to collect funds, to put towards medical costs required for Carters care. Please consider donating what you can for this incredible family. This is an opportunity for us to offer the help we're all wanting to give.

Our goal was not only achieved….it was blown out of the water! We had an anonymous donor throw out a challenge that if we raised $20 K, they’d match it. And so they did!

The support for this GFM has been overwhelming, and the assistance this will provide the family is significant.
